DMOARTS is pleased to present the first solo exhibition of Tsukue Akimoto.
Akimoto Tsukue has attracted attention at UNKNOWN ASIA with his strange, derealized, stateless, and overwhelming presence, and has expanded to other Asian countries. We hope you will enjoy his triumphant return to the exhibition with tremendous support.
During the exhibition, a zine-making workshop by the artist is also scheduled.

    [Artist's Statement]
Strange, Bizarre, Kitsch, Mondo, Cheap. I hope to create something with an indescribable atmosphere that these adjectives do not suffice to describe.
The feeling of dizziness when you see a sign in a foreign travel town that you can't read as if it were a sign. Daily necessities with an unbelievable sense of color. The texture and taste of something sweet or spicy or whatever. A novel and fascinating smell that you have never smelled before.
There is a pleasure in travel in the unknown and the unknowable.
I would be happy if you could enjoy the mixed atmosphere of the objects with such a traveling mood.

    [ZINE making workshop]
Printed materials and clippings collected in various countries come to DMOARTS from the workshop of Akimoto Tsukue!
Why not create your own wonder book, just the way you like it?
No rules, just use your creativity and have fun!
May 3 - May 7, 2019 Writers in the gallery, paid as they go
Participation fee 1,500 yen (tax not included)
