    [Artist]
    kuroneko design
Since its launch in 2011, Kuro-Neko Takumi has gained popularity for its picture books and original goods featuring the character "Kuro-Neko Robin-chan," who has pointy claws and a snarl on his face and a cocky, oblique look in his eyes. With a sophisticated design sense cultivated as a commercial illustrator and nostalgic details, he continues to distinguish himself from other illustrations and characters.

  • DMOARTS in artTNZ

    2020-09-03 07:00

DMOARTS will exhibit at "artTNZ", an art fair to be held at TERRADA ART COMPLEX II in Tennozu, Tokyo. DMOARTS will introduce two artists, Kurumi Kotani and Ryoki Kurasaki.
Kurumi Kotani's "21g," a group of works, is said to be the weight of the soul, alluding to what once existed, and thus alluding to a supernatural existence without directly depicting it. Ryoki Kurasaki uses flames as a symbol of life and death, and in "Traces of the soul," the intense burning reminds us of finite life and what remains.
The venue will be open by reservation only, so please make a reservation in advance and come as much as you can afford.

    Date and Time:2020/9/17(Thu)— 21(Mon)
    ※9/17(Thu) by invitation only
    Venue:TERRADA ART COMPLEX Ⅱ
    1-32-8 Higashi-Shinagawa, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo 140-0002, Japan
    https://arttnz.com/

    [Artists]
    Kurumi Kotani
In 2019, he will graduate from Kyoto University of Art and Design, Graduate School of Art and Design, Painting Area.
He creates paintings on the theme of relationships, signs, and traces of existence. In her signature series of paintings, "21g," the entire screen is conceived as a "window," leaving traces of someone's touch on the condensed surface of the glass. Her interest in mystical or supernatural phenomena makes her paintings reminiscent of scenes from horror movies, bringing out the presence of an unseen and uncertain entity.

    Ryoki Kurasaki
Born in Fukuoka, Japan in 1995, he graduated from Kyushu Designer Gakuin in 2016.
Kurasaki attempts to pursue the reality of his motifs by burning the parts of his oil portraits that used to be the eyes. The phenomena and materials generated by the flames as a metaphor for life, the exposed space, and the structure of the canvas itself are important components of his work.

  • Yoshitaka Goto exhibition “Into the dream”

    2020-08-24 19:00

InterContinental Hotel Osaka and digmeout are pleased to announce the first collaboration project "Yoshitaka Goto exhibition "Into the dream"" at the patisserie STRESSED on the first floor.
Goto invites you into a daydream-like world created by two analog techniques: "multiple exposures" using a film camera, a method of photographing multiple times on a single frame to create a mysterious world view, and "cross process development," a method of developing positive film into negative film to produce colors that awaken the eye. The two analog techniques invite the viewer into a daydream-like world. Enjoy the art with InterContinental Hotel Osaka's surprising and playful selection of sweets.

    [Profile]
He graduated from Kyoto Sangyo University with a degree in business administration and is a registered artist with digmeout (FM802).
In 2008, he discovered Lomography film cameras, which originated in Russia, and put aside the digital SLR cameras he had been using until then. Inspired by Lomography users around the world who enjoy taking pictures without being bound by stereotypes, he immersed himself in multiple exposures, creating CG and sci-fi movie-like worlds using analog techniques such as multiple exposures and cross process development. His works are sometimes fantastical and sometimes crazy, and have been highly acclaimed in various competitions. He has held solo exhibitions mainly in Tokyo and Osaka, and exhibited his works at art fairs in Japan and abroad. Many of his works have been used as samples and promotional photos for Lomography's official website and SNS. He has also provided artwork for various advertisements and book covers. He also teaches film camera workshops and serves as a guest lecturer at various schools. In 2018, he published a photo book "Inception" from Buffalo Press, and in 2019, a photo book "X-ing" from 233Press. Authorized Lomography distributor.

  • ART in OFFICE “SESSEN”

    2020-08-20 19:00

To be a "tangent" to share the value of enjoying art.
SESSEN" means "tangent. In the space called "office" where many people interact and spend a lot of time, we will exhibit selected artworks that we recommend for the current collection. The works of seven young and talented artists will be presented in the form of an art fair.

Viewing artwork in the office provides an experience previously unavailable in museums and galleries.
It is easy to imagine "if the artwork is actually displayed in a living space.
To feel "how art can comfortably transform a space and bring inspiration."
In the new normal social environment where people spend more time in specific places such as their homes and offices, the "power of art" is needed more than ever, and can be enjoyed as a one-stop shop from viewing to purchasing.

This exhibition is planned with the cooperation of TEZUKAYAMA GALLERY and keshiki.jp, and will be held at the offices of FM802 & FM COCOLO, radio stations that continue to transmit music from Osaka. COCOLO", a radio station that continues to transmit music from Osaka. The event will be held at the offices of FM802 & FM COCOLO, two radio stations that continue to transmit music from Osaka, and will feature a unique fusion of contemporary art and music.

To be an opportunity for viewers, collectors, artists, galleries, companies, and other people to make contact with each other. And from dots to lines. Our goal is to create a tangent line where people can share the value of enjoying art.

  • DELTA Experiment

    2020-07-30 08:00

    【About】
In 2020, the new coronavirus has spread globally, and the art business environment has been severely impacted. Many of the world's major art fairs, including Art Basel, have been forced to cancel their exhibitions, and galleries have been unable to hold exhibitions, which has had a significant impact on the activities of galleries and artists.
Although the realistic viewing environment is a major purchasing factor when dealing with the "material" of artworks, I feel that the art scene as a whole is at a turning point, with the rapid shift to online viewing, which has been a potential problem.
In this context, we are aware that there is still a lack of presentations by galleries and directors with cutting-edge and new sensibilities here in Osaka, and we have decided to organize the "DELTA Experiment". With a different perspective from existing art fairs, we aim to create a new "venue" that connects galleries, collectors, and art fans.
Exhibiting galleries are carefully selected from 7 galleries in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto that are presenting cutting-edge exhibitions and artists. We provide a situation where people can enjoy art both in real venues and online. Collectors and fans then enjoy and purchase art, creating a cycle. The goal of the DELTA Experiment is to share the joy of access to a scene and a community with as many people as possible.

  • Noda Jasmine Solo Exhibition “Sinking into the Lake”

    2020-07-28 18:00

Jasmine Noda, an artist also active in digmeout/DMOARTS, will hold her solo exhibition "Sinking into the Lake" at KITAHAMA N gallery, the basement gallery of THE BOLY OSAKA hotel in Kitahama. In this exhibition, she has arranged a large number of instrumental works resembling water lily buds in a grid pattern in a dimly lit subterranean space, and together with images of flickering mental landscapes, she has created an installation work that depicts the "nowhere place" between "hope" and "anxiety" that she feels in her current emotional state and her relationship with society. He has developed his installation work as a work of art. Through the series, the works of artifacts, which are craft objects that retain their original purpose, become part of the installation space, crossing the boundaries between craft and art and questioning the viewer as to where the original values of craft lie.

    [Promotional Video]
    https://youtu.be/RJbZ8VPyAbM

    [Artist Profile]
    Noda Jasmine
Born in 1996 in Thailand. He mainly produces ceramic works and installations using them. In his "Swan of Memory" series, which he has been showing since 2018, he uses the motif of a lotus pond that extends all the way to the horizon, which actually exists in his native country of Thailand, where he has his roots of expression, as a memory landscape. Using this as a motif, the artist subdivides the diffuse diversity of the field of crafts and reconstructs it into a neutral existence. His main exhibitions include participation in ARTISTS' FAIR KYOTO 2020, and he is based in the Kansai region.
