    【Artists】
With complex layers of colorful colors that seem to move back and forth, and a sense of three-dimensionality, Saki Matsumura's paintings also expand the imagination for multidimensional landscapes and sensations that cannot be perceived in real-world landscapes.
    【Exhibition Theme】
Shibuya's scramble crossing, giant digital signage, and the constant movement of people. The ever-changing, ever-mixing city is always filled with a sense of the new and the unknown. The dynamic works, in which various textures overlap each other, shake and stimulate the viewer's heart.

It started in September.【SHIBUYA - Many Faces, New Faces】

Artworks by artists selected from the viewpoint of improving the Shibuya area and the coffee drinking experience are exhibited at Blue Bottle Coffee Shibuya Cafe on a monthly basis.
In September, we exhibited works by Maki Sato, in October by Yasumasa Yoshida, and in November by Syotaro Murakami, a different artist each month. This month, December, we will be introducing the work of Ms. Saki Matsumura on the wall of the second floor of the café.

We are pleased to introduce seven artists who continue to express their unique worldviews.

What do the languid gazes of these women gaze at and appeal to? Ayano Oki paints with rock paints and rough brush strokes, but with a delicate sensibility.
Oil painter Hiroki Kakinuma fantastically depicts a grand panorama of the intersection of the foreign and the human, the abnormal and the everyday.
Takuma Uone is a three-dimensional artist who expresses a fusion of Buddhism and Shintoism rooted in the heart of Japan, and the ancient and near future in science fiction and robot animation.
Using classical techniques, oil painter Takahiro Hara sublimates everyday scenes into poetic and universal beauty.
Masaru Ozaki is a pioneering projection mapping artist who uses his own imagination and modern technology to manipulate light at will.
Using CG with classical sensibility, Shiori Matsuura vividly depicts beautiful women of today.
Saki Matsumura visualizes abstract concepts through acrylic paintings, silk screens, and other intricately layered, three-dimensional paintings.

We hope you will enjoy the diverse world of two-dimensional, three-dimensional, mixed media, and other forms of expression woven together by the eyes and sensibilities of seven challenging artists with a respect for the ancient and a gaze from the present to the future.

    2021-08-19 18:00

The web page "Always with My Bottle" run by Zojirushi Mahobin Co. FM802's SDG initiatives were introduced on the webpage "Always with My Bottle" run by Zojirushi Mahobin Co. An interview with Hiroshi Okui, President of Zojirushi Mahobin, is featured in the article.
The text also includes a number of artworks by digmeout, which we would like to introduce.

The poster, "OUR SDGs," was illustrated by Palm Graphics, using cardboard and paints that would otherwise have been thrown out as trash. The message in the lower right corner of the visual reads, "Since we were born on this beautiful earth...".

My Bottle, designed by Yumi Yasuda and kamihasami, two artists who exhibited at UNKNOWN ASIA 2020 ONLINE, is given not only to FM802 employees and DJs, but also to staff members of affiliated companies and partner companies, who can freely drink water from a water server installed in the company. The bottles are provided to FM802 employees and DJs, as well as staff of affiliated and partner companies, so that they can freely fill them up from the water server installed in the company. This initiative has reduced the use of plastic bottles and eliminated the use of paper cups.

Other projects include the entrance art walls for FM802 and FM COCOLO by Rooo Lou, and the main visual for the summer music event "MEET THE WORLD BEAT" by YUGO.

The DELTA Executive Committee (co-chairs: Shinpei Okada / Ryo Takahashi) is pleased to announce that the contemporary art fair "DELTA 2021" will be held from November 26 (Fri.) - 28 (Sun.), 2021 [Preview: Thursday, November 25].
The art fair "DELTA Experiment" was held last August at TEZUKAYAMA GALLERY, a gallery in Minamihorie, Osaka. With a different perspective from existing art fairs, it was launched with the aim of creating a new "place" that connects galleries, collectors, and art fans. Seven galleries from the three cities of Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo exhibited cutting-edge exhibitions and artists. Despite its compact size, the art fair attracted a great deal of attention, attracting nearly 400 visitors over the three days.
This year, the venue was moved to Seaside Studio CASO located in Osaka Port, where 16 galleries (3 in Osaka, 3 in Kyoto, and 10 in Tokyo), including up-and-coming galleries and galleries that have led the Japanese contemporary art scene, gathered in a large space with a floor space of 690m².

This time, I faced the work as if I were assessing each ball, whether to swing the bat or to forgo it, and put it into the form of a solo exhibition for the first time in about a year and a half."

  • ART OSAKA 2021

    2021-06-18 18:00

The contemporary art fair "ART OSAKA 2021" will be held from July 18 (Sun.) to 20 (Tue.) at Osaka City Central Public Hall (a nationally designated important cultural property). DMOARTS will introduce the works of two artists, Ryoki Kurasaki and Mitsumasa Miura.

    [Artist]
    Ryoki Kurasaki
The artist attempts to pursue the reality of the motif by burning the part of the oil portrait that used to be the eyes. The phenomena and materials generated by the flames as a metaphor for life, the exposed space, and the structure of the canvas itself are important components of the work.
    https://dmoarts.com/artists/ryoki-kurasaki/

    Koga Miura
He mainly creates two-dimensional works based on the theme of "chance, randomness, the boundary between manual and mechanical work, and labor. His method of production, in which decisions such as color scheme and composition are determined by random numbers, is intended to eliminate the hesitation that occurs in the process of creating an image from the picture plane, and to reflect an unconscious and pure act. He creates his works in order to reconsider the indifferent everyday life, so that even mechanically painted works can have their own unique expression.

ART OSAKA 2021, the 19th edition of the contemporary art fair, will be held from July 18 (Sun.) to 20 (Tue.) [Preview: July 18 (Sun.) 12:00-16:00] at the Osaka Central Public Hall (a nationally designated Important Cultural Property). ART OSAKA" has the longest history of any ongoing art fair in Japan, and has been supported as a hotel-style art fair specializing in contemporary art. This year, ART OSAKA will take a new step forward by stepping out of the hotel and collaborating with Osaka's representative modern architecture.

The venue, Osaka Central Public Hall, is located in Nakanoshima and has been a popular venue for cultural, artistic, and social activities since its completion in 1918. The area is also the focus of much attention, with the National Museum of Art, Osaka, the Nakanoshima Library, the Festival Hall, and many other cultural spots gathered in the vicinity, and the Nakanoshima Art Museum, Osaka, scheduled to open in 2022. Nakanoshima is also surrounded by the Dojima River to the north and the Tosabori River to the south, making it an attractive environment surrounded by water and greenery despite being in the heart of the city.

ART OSAKA 2021" will be held in this beautiful cultural and artistic area. This year, 46 galleries of the best talent will gather to present paintings, sculptures, photographs, videos, prints, and installations, all selected by gallerists' unique aesthetic sense. We hope that this will be an opportunity for you to encounter a special piece of art. We hope you will enjoy the fusion of the public hall, where you can feel the breath of culture and art that has continued since the Taisho era, and contemporary art works that live in the present.

Admission is by advance reservation only, and the number of people in the venue will be limited. In order for everyone to enjoy the fair with peace of mind, we will take the utmost care to ensure that the fair is conducted safely and in accordance with guidelines for the prevention of new coronavirus infections. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
