    DMOARTS is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition of Haruka Kanzaki.



    Kanzaki is an illustrator in Tokyo who was one of the topical artists among participants UNKNOWN ASIA Art Exchange Osaka 2017 and won the judge award of Chang Kuochuen, the owner of Boss Gallery in Taipei. She draws lots of beer bottles all around the world. She would like to express something fun atmosphere that beer brings to our communication and lives. Her solid line drawing is reminiscent of that by Andy Warhol and Ben Shahn. Finally her solo exhibition is to be held at DMOARTS. This is also her first debut outside Tokyo. Please don’t miss this precious opportunity.

    Haruka Kanzaki was born in Shizuoka in 1999.
    Graduated from Waseda University in 2013
    Graduated from Kuwasawa Design School in 2017



    “I liked drawing, hand crafting and movies from my childhood. After studying movies at the university, I worked for a movie distribution company, the creation of subtitle dubbing section. Currently I work as a graphic designer and an illustrator.”

    Old factories in a corner of town, houses with objects being stacked casually. What the painter, Ayaka Nishino expresses is a casual scenery that she noticed from her “stance” in daily life. The landscape that everyone can see from the usual way is expressed as a piece of “life” by oil painting. Please come and enjoy her second solo exhibition for the first time in 2 years at DMOARTS.

    Terada is a professional illustrator who often works for variety fields in publishing such as books, magazines and advertisements. Throughout the exhibition, she shows her original artworks with the theme of “love”; bitter sweet love and heart flutter love that would suit especially to the season of love.

    “Ukiyo-e”, which the ordinary people enjoyed in old times, is often treated as a high level of art in modern days. If adding a subtle humor to it, it might update from the past to the present and turn into the art that many general public will enjoy.

    Profile:
    Fumitake Uchida
    Fumitake Uchida is an artist based in Osaka, Japan.
    He graduated from Kyoto University of Art and Design in Textiles. Uchida focuses on the feelings in everyday life. On the basis of the Japanese spirit of emptiness of Zen, he depicts an ordinary landscape using simple lines, colors and forms. Its blankness allows us to forget time and think of memories hidden in our mind. His work has exhibited nationally and is part of public collections, has been featured in numerous publications such as “LE BOOK”. Currently he is working in various fields of art, design, music and fashion.

    Hevio Tamamura
    Born in Kyoto in 1971.
    Hevio is a freelance illustrator after working as a graphic designer. His dream in his childhood was being an entomologist. Yet the shape of it has been changed, he is good at drawing animals he loves and strange existences that might be there. He intends to draw illustration, logos, characters and so on that viewers get some imagination on motions and stories by looking at them. “Hevio no Dobutsu Origami (How to fold a sheet of paper to make animals)” is one of his publishing.

    DMOARTS is proud to announce an exhibition of selected photographers from the UNKNOWN ASIA ART EXCHANGE OSAKA 2017 which was held during November 3rd to 5th in Osaka with huge reputations ever. In addition, we collaborate with WONDER FORO DAY (Taipei). This exhibition entitled “UNKNOWN ASIA PHOTO EXHIBITION” introduces total 6 photographers of new generations including Awards winners. They are from Japan, Thailand, Indonesia and Taiwan. Special edited catalogue and posters will be sold. This is very precious and rare exhibition to introduce them, very talented new generation Asian photographers in Japan. We are all looking forward to your coming.

    Jakarta based photographer and visual artists, Hilarius Jason Pratana straddles the line between art and photography.

    Maria Lezhnina (Taiwan)
    Born in Russia and Taipei based photographer, Maria is an awarded photographer and architect interested in the climate and landscape. She obtained a Master in Architecture in Italy and in Russia.

    (Pam) Virada Banjurtrungkajorn (Thailand)
    Bangkok based photographer, Pam’s approach is to create minimal images by collages, photographs and graphic designs.

    Ray Tsuyumitsu (Japan)
    Japan and Taiwan based photographer, RAY aka ALIEN BIKYAKU introduces fetish self-portraits of her legs fused with pop colors.
    UNKNOWN ASIA 2017 invited photographer.


    Yen Tzu-Sung (Taiwan)
    Taiwan based photographer, his approach to photograph is by trimming a part of architects and it reminiscent of sculpture.

    DMO ARTS is pleased to present “A TWO PIPE PROBLEM LETTERPRESS” solo exhibition by Stephen Kenny “Mile of Smiles”.
    “A TWO PIPE PROBLEM LETTERPRESS” is the letter press studio is run by Stephen Kenny in East London. His high artistic print works pressed by vintage wood types and letter press machines during 1800th – 1900th are very popular and so many fans not only in England but also in Japan. Kenny mixes very rare and historical wood types to create “words”. Layouts and selection of words are all done by Kenny and they are so awesome and artistic with warm and laid back vibes because of letter press that nobody can make it. This year, Kenny named this exhibition “MILE OF SMILES” and tours in Osaka, Fukuoka and Tokyo.

    DMOARTS is pleased to present the Yohei Sugita’s solo exhibition “Deai, Kukan, Yukwaku And” (Encounter, Space, Temptation And … in English) from October 27th (Fri).
    Sugita, one of a leading young artist of contemporary art, produces collage like landscapes and figures by dried acrylic paints, and oil paintings by gathering pictures from magazines and internet to reconstruct those into an ultra-realistic world. His approach to creation always focuses on essence of forming paints. Paints broadened in thin layers appear matiere that make new form as a painting. Sugita’s paints are sold immediately in Tokyo. This is his first solo exhibition in Osaka. Don’t miss it!
