    DMO ARTS is pleased to present the solo exhibition of chiaki kohara, as the 1st opening event to celebrate our relocation n April 26.
    During her exhibition in 2 years at DMO ARTS this time, new aggressive and bold approach spreading works to the wall will be coming. Original drawings and goods are sold.

    Biography:
    The world Chiaki Kohara, aka “art idol” creates is beyond the canvas. She creates girls and animals with acrylic gauche, buttons, laces, package of snacks… they are full of fantasy and the world is a “wonderland” that attracts people. She received the “Yayoi Kusama Prize” at the UNIQLO creative awards in 2007. Kusama praised her as “There is a brightness of the youth in your artwork”. Born in 7th of July, 1986

    Asari Fukushima will hold a solo exhibition who is based on west Japan, showing artworks with a cat as a motif.
    In addition to acrylic paint and rock paint, she will exhibit works of adorable cat drawn by collage of various materials together.
    Please come and see the latest work of the artist who was extremely popular with last year 's solo exhibition “For me, a cat is a very warm family who welcomes me gently at all times.

    Asari Fukushima
    When she started living with a cat 19 years ago, she was fascinated by a cat and started painting.
    From that time on, the cats are always the main character of the motif.
    While seeking ways to express cat's charm, she now mainly collages using pictures taken by herself, and do with mixed media using various materials such as acrylic paint and rock paint.
    Currently she lives with 23 cats in Shiga Prefecture.

  • Hitoshi Kuroki exhibition「Fragments of my wonderland」

    >Artist Hitoshi Kuroki has created the cover of "GINZA" magazine, and has provided illustrations for many fashion and culture magazines.
    His fashionable portraits attract many people.
    This exhibition, his first in Osaka in six years, will feature newly drawn works in addition to those shown in his solo exhibition "THE FANTASTIC HOTEL" held in Tokyo in October.
    The "Tear drop" series, which depicts women's tears, and the "Fantastic Human" series, which mixes humans with animals and plants, are the main works in Kuroki Hitoshi's concept of a modern fairy tale.
    
    Hitoshi Kuroki
    Born in 1978. Graduated from Osaka University of Arts, Department of Design.
    After working as an assistant to Yukinori Dehara, he became a freelance illustrator.
    In addition to providing illustrations for fashion and culture magazines such as POPEYE, GINZA, and GQ JAPAN, he has performed live drawings at a reception for Stella McCartney.
  • GOMA exhibition Lost memories, my world beginning to light up

    Artist GOMA draws various patterns of light, snow, flowers, water, and the sea in pointillism.
    GOMA will hold a long-awaited solo exhibition at DMOARTS.
    
    He is an active player of the didgeridoo, a traditional instrument of the Aboriginal people of Australia, and
    She is an artist who started primitive pointillism after a car accident 7 years ago.
    This summer, he published a book titled "Lost Memories: My World Begins to Light," which traces his journey from the accident and has been attracting much attention.
    This exhibition will show the trajectory of GOMA's activities up to the present, including the works featured in the book.
    
    GOMA
    Born in Osaka, Japan in 1973.
    In 2009, while playing the didgeridoo, a traditional Australian aboriginal instrument, GOMA was involved in a car accident that left him with memory impairment.
    Due to the aftereffects of the brain injury, she became hypersensitive to light, and suddenly started painting two days after the accident, using the world of light that she sees as her subject matter.
    Her pointillist paintings are characterized by primitive impulse-driven energy and beautiful gradation.

    DMOARTS is pleased to announce "Yeah! Mecha Tonbo Sensei," a solo exhibition by Tonbo Sensei, who can appear anywhere by simply drawing three lines.
    In addition to the traveling works of his solo exhibition "Tokyo Tonbo Sensei Musume," which was held in Tokyo this summer and attracted a great deal of attention, the exhibition will also feature a variety of images by Tonbo Sensei.     Heroshi Nakyamera attracts attention with his humorous illustrations.
    This is the second time solo exhibition following the last year at DMO ARTS.

    This is an annual solo exhibition of an illustrator Ryosuke Matsuzono.
    Now he is active widely in various fields, like a book-cover design and textile design and so on.
    His ink-painted illustrations express tiny magical stories of nostalgic strangers and unknown places.
