EXHIBITION

  • Tomohiro Shimizu solo exhibition: Zawa-zawa Zone

    2011. 9. 07 Wed. - 2011. 9. 20 Tue.

Tomohiro Shimizu turned his career from a system engineer to an artist.
In his artwork, round-faced female figures stand in a landscape depicted in traditional Japanese style, such as Rimpa or ink drawing.
As reality is removed from the landscape, so are facial expressions of the figures.
The story inside artwork, which can be inspired from its title, varies depending on each viewer.
Since 2008, Shimizu has been selected for the Wonder Seeds exhibition hosted by Tokyo Wonder Site every year.
Although he has been holding exhibitions both in Japan and overseas, this is his first solo exhibition in the western Japan.
In this exhibition, not only his original artwork but also Gunze BODYWILD pants and My First ART series will be available.
