    Friday, July 7, 2017 - Sunday, July 9, 2017
    Hotel Granvia Osaka, 26th floor

DMOARTS will exhibit at ART OSAKA 2017, the 15th annual contemporary art fair.
ART OSAKA is Japan's largest art fair specializing in contemporary art, and is the longest-established and most supported art fair in Japan. 54 galleries from Japan and abroad (21 from Kansai, 27 from outside Kansai, 3 from Taiwan, 2 from Korea, and 1 from Macau) will participate.
The exhibited works range from affordable pieces by new artists to masterpieces by internationally renowned artists, with a total of over 150 artists. The genres of art on view are not limited to painting, sculpture, printmaking, and photography, but also include installations that use the entire space, offering an opportunity to view high-quality contemporary art all in one place.
ART OSAKA, a hotel-style art fair, will be held in a hotel room, close to the living space, where gallerists with their unique aesthetic sense will recommend high-quality artworks for comparison, and visitors will be able to purchase their favorite works on the spot. We hope that not only art lovers but also all those who are interested in art in their daily lives will enjoy a new way to interact with the world of art, which will expand through the purchase of artworks.

We have selected artists from DMOARTS who are exhibiting for the first time. We hope you will enjoy this exhibition at the hotel, which is different from the usual gallery setting.

2012 M.F.A. in Sculpture, Tokyo University of the Arts
After completing his master's program, he has participated in residencies in Japan, China, and the Netherlands, and is currently based in the Kanto region of Japan.
He became interested in the fact that taxidermy, the placement of animal carcasses as a part of decorations in everyday spaces, weakens resistance to corpses, and began creating ceramic works with stuffed animals as a motif. Through his works, he expresses the ambiguity between ornaments and carcasses, life and death.

    Saki Matsumura
    1993 Born in Nagano Prefecture
2017 MFA in Painting, Kyoto University of Art and Design
Using acrylic paint as her main painting medium, this artist incorporates silkscreening techniques and other techniques to create graphically expressive works. She creates sharp paintings by combining geometric motifs, lines, and universal shapes in her compositions. This is his first exhibition at an art fair since graduating from university. He is one of the young artists whose future activities are highly anticipated.

    okoimatsu
Born in Nagano Prefecture. Moved to Tokyo as a child. After studying abroad in London, currently based in Sapporo.
The casual changes in ordinary things and big changes in unimportant things that make up the daily street corner. He creates works with motifs of small things that are constantly changing next to everyday life. He globally explores the traces of "dynamics" that shape cities. His current motif is a test pen in the pen section of a stationery store. He reproduces the lines and scribbles of the trial scribbles in the form of reproductions and composes them on the canvas. After graduating from an art college in England, he spent several years in London before returning to Japan five years ago and settling in Hokkaido.

    Fumitake Uchida

Major solo exhibitions include "Skin Mirror" (2010, GALLERY SPEAK FOR). In 2008, four of his works were selected for MoMA's "DESTINATION JAPAN," and he was in charge of illustrations for the New York, Paris, and London editions of LE BOOK, a world-renowned creator's yearbook. He has also created jackets for music DVDs and CDs, including "HOSHIZORA NO LIVE V Just Ballae" in 2010, and his painting projected on the entire stage of the musical "Take Flight," directed by Amon Miyamoto, has attracted much attention. He is also developing expression using sound, releasing his first album "Sleeping Forest" in April 2013. He exhibited at UNKNOWN ASIA 2016.

    Nonomi Miyahara
    1992 Born in Tokyo, Japan
He is a graduate of Kyoto University of Art and Design, Department of Fine Arts and Crafts, Integrated Arts Course, 2015
He combines various everyday objects, mainly ceramics, to create installations that evoke the past and the future. Nakajima Mugi Prize, and Shinsuke Suzuki Prize.

    Yen Tzu-Sung
    Photographer living in Taiwan.
My early works were shot using black and white negatives of documentaries. The imaginations evoked by the satire, social contradictions, and other black humor in these images played a large role in the images of these works.
Recently, in addition to such documentary photography, the artist has also developed a deeper commitment to abstract concepts and minimalism. In a series of works, the artist's life experiences, as well as special moments and events in his life, are illuminated and expressed.
