ART FAIR ASIA FUKUOKA 2023" will be held from September 22 (Fri.) to 24 (Sun.) [Preview: September 21 (Thu.)] at Marine Messe B in Fukuoka.
DMOARTS is pleased to present the works of five artists, Chari, hin, Koga Miura, Rooo Lou, and Ryohei Yamashita.

    Tokyo-based artist and illustrator.
Her work is based on "Chans," which depicts the world inhabited by the main character "Chan," a white dog, and her friends. It is a warm world where animals, monsters, people, and other diverse creatures coexist. The main character "Chan" is modeled after his own beloved dog.
She has presented her works by participating in group exhibitions and holding solo exhibitions in Japan and abroad. She has also created illustrations for books, TV programs, and video works.

Born in Chiba, Japan in 1990 and currently lives in Tokyo.
Graduated from Tama Art University, Department of Graphic Design.
With the concept of "Therapy by Digital Detox", he explores relaxation through painting.
Digital Detox aims to "dissolve information overload through art.
The artist attempts to detoxify information from outside and inside the human body by using a method called virtualspray, which materializes digital (information) using pixels and resembles a spray.

    Koga Miura
Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1997, he completed his master's degree in oil painting at Kyoto University of Arts in 2021.
He creates two-dimensional works based on the main themes of "coincidence" and "artifice/randomness. By using random numbers and written instructions in the decision-making stages of composition and color schemes, he eliminates the conscious artifice of the creator. By doing so, the artist's work is purely random, and the blurring and coincidence of the output of the body are allowed to emerge. Just as a mechanically-drawn work that follows instructions has its own unique expression, he finds contingency in the ordinary day-to-day, and continues to create works in order to affirm irregular events.

    Rooo Lou
    Born in 1988 in Osaka.
After working as a designer, he shifted his method of expression to illustration.
Since then, he has provided artwork for apparel brands and advertisements.
In recent years, he has been showing his work both in Japan and abroad, focusing on minimalist portraiture.

    Ryohei Yamashita
He creates works under the consistent theme of "Dynamism". His representative works are Samurai and Athlete series. He launched his own art brand "LIKE A ROLLING STONE" to present his works. In 2015, he won the "E-Plus Award" at the art fair "UNKNOWN ASIA.
His illustration work includes the cover of Magazine House's "Tarzan," visuals for Nike and other sports and athletes, and official visuals for the Yokohama Marathon.
Major works include public art for the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, Toyota Motor Corporation 2020 calendar, official visuals for the Japanese national sailing team for the Sailing Olympics, artwork for Achilles "Shunsoku", and Mizuho FG Olympics-related advertising.

ART FAIR ASIA FUKUOKA" has been held in Fukuoka since 2015 and is the only art fair in Japan with an Asian concept.
In the city of Fukuoka, which geographically and historically functions as the gateway to Asia, we aim to create a global art fair with the theme of "bridging Japan and the Asian art market," introducing artists who will carry the future of Asia, as well as transmitting the appeal of domestic culture and art to Asia and activating the Asian art market.
