    ■ Artist Statement
Kurashiki has consistently considered the distance between himself and others in the solitary existence of human beings absolutely cut off by the material wall of the body, or the categorization attached to it. In his works, Kurashiki deals with multiple media such as performance and installation, mainly two-dimensional works using transfer techniques, and attempts to communicate closely with others, seek coexistence, or fuse with others. For example, he creates works in order to even out the divide created by the fact that we have separate bodies, and to coexist with others in the real world. Or, as the ultimate form of such an act, production as an act of aiming for nirvana, in which each being is freed from its body, and while existing as an individual, blends into the whole and becomes one with the whole. Or, as a countermeasure to loneliness, the act of weaving a temporary (assumed) close relationship between the viewer and oneself by somehow inserting the work between them.

    ■ Artist Statement
His paintings are composed of elements inherited from Japanese and American pop culture, subculture, and local culture, which deeply influenced him while growing up. The ambivalent feelings that form the concept of his work are born from his doubts about his own sense of "being alive" and his thoughts on the social and political situation at times. The white color sprinkled in his works is a presence that appears when he reaches a point of feeling as if he wants to disappear, and it represents the confusion or neutralization of psychological thoughts and biological instincts.

    ■ Artist Statement
His works are mainly based on subcultures and Japanese illustration expressions of the 80s and 90s.
The theme of his work is to preserve pop culture, such as character expression, which is not often discussed in Western art history, in the form of art rather than illustration.
Each portrait depicts the same face. This is based on the artist's will to preserve the illustrative expression of the period in which the work was created, and the idea that by depicting the same, unifying face, the work can be viewed as if it were the viewer or a closely related person.
He works mainly with acrylics on canvas.
