ART OSAKA 2023 (Galleries section), an art fair of contemporary art, will be held from July 28 (Fri.)-30 (Sun.) [Preview: July 28 (Fri.)] at Osaka City Central Public Hall.
DMOARTS is pleased to present the works of four artists: hin, Saki Matsumura, Koga Miura, and Rei Kizumoto.

    [Artists]

    hin
    Artist.
Born in Chiba, Japan in 1990 and currently lives in Tokyo. Graduated from Tama Art University, Department of Graphic Design.

The concept of the production is to explore and create a therapy by Digital Detox.
The idea of using pixelated expressions with the intention of "materializing information" and painting them as if they were sprays or brushes was the inspiration for the technique he calls virtualspray. The artist attempts to antidote the overload of information from the outside and the inside.

    Saki Matsumura
Born in Nagano, Japan in 1993, he completed his graduate studies in painting at Kyoto University of Art and Design in 2017. Currently based in Kyoto.

He creates dynamic paintings by combining hard-edged colored surfaces created by spraying and silkscreening with uneven surfaces covered with heavy layers of paint. The clash of different elements creates a strange harmony that opens up the imagination to new sensations.

    Koga Miura
Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1997, he completed his master's degree in oil painting at Kyoto University of Arts in 2021.

He creates two-dimensional works based on the theme of exploring the "boundary between the conscious and the unconscious.
In order to reduce the arbitrariness that occurs in the process of giving form to an image, he decides on color schemes and compositions in advance using a random number of instructions, and then gives form to them through manual work.
By mixing the mechanical impression created by the repetition of simple work following instructions and the anomalous expression created by hand-painting, the artist is able to perceive both his own assumptions and unexpected phenomena.
By going back and forth between the assumed and the unexpected, I want to express the beauty that is created by the combination of various external factors that exist contrary to my own intentions.

    Rei Kizumoto
Born in Shiga Prefecture in 1998, he graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts in 2021 with a BFA in oil painting, and from Kyoto University of Arts in 2023 with an MFA in oil painting in the field of arts and crafts.

Colored or cut felt is placed on the floor.
The felt absorbs and reflects light, and the danger of color lurks.
I follow the light as I push it onto the screen with time and space.
He creates his works in dialogue with the materials, colors, and himself.

ART OSAKA 2023, a contemporary art fair, will be held from July 26 (Wed) to 31 (Mon), 2012. ART OSAKA has the longest history of any ongoing art fair in Japan and has been a popular venue for young and mid-career artists.
This year, the art fair will again offer a tour of two locations: Nakanoshima (Galleries section), Osaka's representative cultural area, and Kitakagaya (Expanded section), a town full of creativity.
We hope you will enjoy "ART OSAKA 2023," which connects two of Osaka's most fascinating areas.
